Summary

The Vultyr app collects, stores, and transmits no personal data. The Vultyr website (vultyr.app) uses no cookies and uses cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics. This page explains both in detail.

App: Data Collection

The vultyr app does not collect any personal information. It does not require an account, does not include any third-party analytics or tracking SDKs, and does not phone home to any server we operate.

App: Network Requests

The app makes direct HTTPS requests to public status page APIs (such as Statuspage.io, Apple, Google Cloud, and others) to check service status. These requests go directly from your device to the service's public API, they do not pass through any server we operate.

App: Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. If you enable iCloud Sync, your list of watched services is synced via Apple's CloudKit (with iCloud Key-Value Store as a legacy fallback), which is governed by Apple's privacy policy. We never see this data.

App: Cross-Device Alerts

If you enable Cross-Device Alerts, status changes are shared between your devices via Apple's CloudKit (with iCloud Key-Value Store as a legacy fallback). When your Mac detects a status change, it writes a lightweight signal to your iCloud account. Your other devices observe the change and run their own local check. No third-party server is involved, all communication goes through Apple's iCloud infrastructure. You can toggle this from any device.

App: Favicons

Service favicons are fetched from Google's public favicon service and cached locally on your device.

Website

This website (vultyr.app) is a static site hosted on GitHub Pages and served through Cloudflare. It uses no cookies. For traffic and performance it uses Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless and collects no personal data. Standard server logs (IP, user agent, page requested) are retained by GitHub and Cloudflare on their standard retention schedules. The vultyr app itself includes no analytics.

App: Third-Party Services

The vultyr app does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. The only external requests are to public status APIs and Google's favicon service.

Children's Privacy

The vultyr app does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13. The website itself uses only cookieless Cloudflare Web Analytics (no personal data), plus the standard server logs that GitHub and Cloudflare retain on their normal schedules.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update the date above.
